Note
This feature is deprecated. See: Release 10.0.47.44 (March 2026).
The manual creation of new test specifications can be time-consuming and risky. Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance provides a tool supporting the creation of new test groups by copying from an existing one.
Steps
The Copy test group feature allows authorized users to create a new test group by performing the following steps:
Go to Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance > Setup > Quality control > Test groups.
Select the existing test group to be copied.
Click the Copy test group button and enter the following information in the Copy test group form:
If the test group name assignment is manual, enter the Test group name to be assigned to the new test group and click OK.
If the test group name assignment is automatic, verify the test group name automatically assigned by the system and click OK.
The generated test group inherits the setup of the original one (including test group lines and specifications) and can be easily updated before being approved and activated.
Note
Beginning with version 10.0.45, Microsoft has introduced the “Advanced Quality Management” feature, which incorporates the Copy test group functionality. This new standard functionality overlaps with the process previously described. When the “Advanced Quality Management” feature is enabled in Feature management, the STAEDEAN Copy test group button will be unavailable, and the corresponding Microsoft functionality should be used instead.
