The **Calculation formula** field is available in the **Test** tab of the test group lines. A default formula is assigned and inherited from the selected **Test method**. For tests that have a **Calculation formula** defined, it is possible to click the **Check formula** button. The **Check formula** form allows the simulation of the formula calculation using the test **Standard** values and checks for syntax errors (for example, incomplete formulas like “@Potency@/10*”.). #### Example A test group is available with the following tests: - Test “Potency”. The **Standard** value in the specifications is “250”. - Test “Potency%” with **Calculation formula** set as “@Potency@/10*4”. The user can open the **Check formula** form for test “Potency%” and click the **Validate** button. The system returns “100” as a result (calculated using “250” from the “Potency” test). ## Related - [Calculated results](/calculated-results.md) - [Test groups](/test-groups.md) - [Quality control setup](/quality-control-setup.md)
