# Asset GMP, Safety, and Critical information

The capability to define a classification of the company’s assets is one of the essential requirements when talking about maintenance and risk-based asset management. Correct classification of assets based on the impact the equipment will have on the company’s safety and production processes is a strategic activity that allows for accurate planning, a reasonable allocation of resources, and wasted time minimizes.

Life Sciences Enterprise Asset Management introduces three new fields, **GMP**, **Safety**, and **Critical**, in the **All assets** form (**Asset management > Assets > All Assets**). These fields can be used to categorize, segregate, and differentiate assets in a regulatory-complaint environment.
