# Analysis types

The ability to manage tests run by different laboratories in the same quality order is a common requirement in the pharmaceutical industry.

Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance allows users to:

- Define different analysis types (**Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance > Setup > Quality control > Analysis types**).
- Link analysis types to tests (**Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance > Setup > Quality control > Tests**).
- Sort quality order lines by analysis type (**Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance > Quality orders > Quality order lines > Test** tab).

Analysis types are associated with tests in the **Tests** form and displayed in the **Quality orders** form. Each test must be associated with an analysis type.
