# Set Dynamic field security parameters

Before you start using , set the parameters.

### Steps

1. Go to **Dynamic field security management (Preview)** > **Setup** > **Dynamic field security parameters**.
2. Turn on to make field security policies take effect.

Click **Turn on**.

> **Note**
> 
> You can only turn on if the Master Data Management Studio license is installed.
3. Click **Yes**.
4. Close the page.
