Click **Data quality management**. 2. Click **Data quality studio parameters**. 3. Sub-task: Set general parameters. 1. You can use a dynamic query in the following cases: If the **Select only first record** field is set to **'No',** the query can return more than one record. You can specify whether this is acceptable. If it is not acceptable, choose whether to show a warning or an error message when selecting a dynamic query on an enrichment rule or condition. In the **General** section in the **Select all records** field, select an option. - In an enrichment rule of type **Data query**. - In a condition applied to a validation rule, duplicate check rule, or enrichment rule 2. You can set the default value for the **Warning/Error** field of validation rules and duplicate check rules. In the **General** section in the **Default Warning/Error** field, select an option. 3. You can define a standard prefix for validation rule error messages. Use this prefix to differentiate **Data quality studio validation rule error messages** from standard D365 F&SCM validation error messages. Error message prefix example: 'DQS Error - ' In the **Error message prefix** field, type a value. 4. You can define a standard prefix for validation rule warning messages. Use this prefix to differentiate **Data quality studio validation rule warning messages** from standard D365 F&SCM validation warning messages. Warning message prefix example: 'DQS Warning - ' In the **Warning message prefix** field, type a value. 4. Sub-task: Set table group checks. 1. In D365 F&SCM, each table is classified in a table group. You can, for each table group, indicate if rules can be created for the group. The table group check is done on creation of a rule. You can choose from these options: Expand the **Table group** section. > [!NOTE] > Note > > For more information on table groups, refer to the D365 F&SCM documentation. - **Accept**: You can create rules for the table group. - **Warning**: You can create rules for the table group. But, if you do so, a warning message is shown. - **Error**: You cannot create rules for the table group. If you select a table from the table group, an error message is shown. 2. In the **Setup** field, select an option. 3. In the **Miscellaneous** field, select an option. 4. In the **Master data** field, select an option. 5. In the **Worksheet** field, select an option. 6. In the **Transaction** field, select an option. 7. In the **Framework** field, select an option. 8. In the **Staging** field, select an option. 5. Sub-task: Set number sequence checks. 1. For an enrichment rule of type **Number sequence**, a number sequence must be defined. You can indicate if already used number sequences can be used. The number sequence check is done when you define the number sequence for an enrichment rule. Expand the **Number sequences** section. 2. Indicate if a number sequence that is used on a parameter form can be selected for enrichment rules of type **Number sequence**. You can choose from these options: In the **Used on parameters** field, select an option. - **Accept**: For an enrichment rule, you can select a number sequence that is used on a parameter form. - **Warning**: For an enrichment rule, you can select a number sequence that is used on a parameter form. But, if you do so, a warning message is shown. - **Error**: For an enrichment rule, you cannot select a number sequence that is used on a parameter form. If you do so, an error message is shown. 3. Indicate if a number sequence that is used for a journal can be selected for enrichment rules of type **Number sequence**. You can choose from these options: In the **Used on journals** field, select an option. - **Accept**: For an enrichment rule, you can select a number sequence that is used for a journal. - **Warning**: For an enrichment rule, you can select a number sequence that is used for a journal. But, if you do so, a warning message is shown. - **Error**: For an enrichment rule, you cannot select a number sequence that is used for a journal. If you do so, an error message is shown. 4. Indicate if a number sequence that is used on an active data quality policy version can be selected for enrichment rules of type **Number sequence**. You can choose from these options: In the **Used on data quality policy version** field, select an option. - **Accept**: For an enrichment rule, you can select a number sequence that is used on an active data quality policy version. - **Warning**: For an enrichment rule, you can select a number sequence that is used on an active data quality policy version. But, if you do so, a warning message is shown. - **Error**: For an enrichment rule, you cannot select a number sequence that is used on an active data quality policy version. If you do so, an error message is shown. 6. Sub-task: Set duplicate check options. 1. Expand the **Duplicate check** section. 2. You can enable merging duplicates for duplicate check rules of type '**Basic matching**'. If merging duplicates is enabled for basic matching, and duplicates are found, you can compare the duplicates and merge field values. Select **Yes** in the **Enable duplicate check using basic matching** field. 7. Sub-task: **Set** dynamic form options. 1. Click the **Dynamic form options** tab. 2. When you create a customer, by default, the financial dimensions are not shown on the **Create customer** form. You can choose to show the financial dimension fields on the **Create customer** form. Select **Yes** in the **Create customer** field. 8. Sub-task: Set quality assessment parameters. 1. Click the **Quality assessment** tab. 2. Select **Yes** in the **Require reason** when accepting deviation field. 9. Sub-task: Enable Data Quality Studio. 1. Click the **Enable Data quality studio** tab. 2. Click **Turn on**. 3. Click **OK**. 10. Sub-task: Set execution settings. 1. For each data quality policy, you can indicate when it is applied. In the **Data quality policy parameters**, you define the default execution settings that are applied to new data quality policies. Click the **Execution settings** tab. 2. To make sure that all available execution triggers are shown, refresh the execution triggers. Click **Refresh triggers**. 3. You can apply a data quality policy: Clear or select the **Enable by default** check box as desired. - Only on entering or updating a record on a form. To do so, only select the **Enable by default** check box for the '**Form**' execution trigger. - Only on doing a quality assessment. To do so, only select the **Enable by default** check box for the '**Quality assessment**' execution trigger. - In both cases. To do so, select the **Enable by default** check box for both the '**Form**' execution trigger and the '**Quality assessment**' execution trigger. 11. Sub-task: Enable data enrichment. 1. You can use enrichment rules to set field values in a target field in D365 F&SCM. You can only use enrichment rules if **Data enrichment** is turned on. Click the **Enable data enrichment** tab. > [!NOTE] > Note > > If data enrichment is turned on, the enrichment rules are disabled. In this case, the enrichment rules are not considered for execution. 2. Click **Turn on**. 3. Click **Yes**. 4. Select **Yes** in the **Please select checkbox to continue** field. 5. Click **OK**. > [!NOTE] > Note > > When data enrichment is turned on, you can turn it off. If you turn off data enrichment, the enrichment rules are no longer considered for execution. Instead, the enrichment rules are considered for execution. 12. Sub-task: Enable data quality policy log. 13. Click the **Enable data quality policy log** tab. 14. You can enable logging of data quality policy validation rules execution. Validation rule execution results are logged only when you manually add or change records. Validation rule execution results are not logged if the data quality policy is run by a: Select **Yes** in the **Enable data quality policy execution log** field. > [!NOTE] > Note > > Logging validation rule execution results can decrease the performance. - Data quality assessment - Connectivity Studio data import 15. Sub-task: Set up data quality policy change management. 1. Click the **Version management** tab. 2. Enter a descriptive name of the current environment. Usually, the environment name is used. This description is used on check in/out. So, in data quality policy change management, a descriptive name is shown instead of the **GUID** that is shown in the **Environment ID** field. In the **Description** field, type a value. 3. You can activate change management for data quality policies. If active, you can add data quality policies to change management. So, change management is only applicable for the data quality policies that are added to change management. Select **Yes** in the **Active** field. 4. Enter the username to be used to access the **Azure file share** or **Windows folder**. To access an **Azure file share**, the username is the name of the applicable **Azure Storage Account**. In the **Operator name** field, type a value. 5. Define the password to access the **Azure file share** or **Windows folder**. Fill in the **Password** field with the desired password or access key.
