# Sales - XML order to Order (850)

If you do not use staging, you receive an order from your customer with the 'Sales - XML order to Order' message. This message imports the received order directly into the Sales orders table.

> When you receive an EDI sales order with items that include a variant identifier (ConfigId or VariantId), the variant description is entered in the Text field on the sales line.
