# Release project

You can release a project to enable the export of the project as a data file. Always, the latest version of the project is released.

As a result, a project release record is created in the **BisReleaseTable** table that contains an XML file with the data of the project and all related components. To view the project release, go to **Connectivity studio** > **Periodic** > **Version management** > **Release**.

### Steps

1. Go to **Connectivity studio** > **Periodic** > **Version management** > **Project version management**.

2. In the list, find and select the desired project.
3. Click **Create release**.
4. Click **OK**.
5. Close the page.
