What’s new

New or changed features in Release 10.0.48.19 (June 2026) – Data Quality Studio.

1. Enhanced fuzzy duplicate check handling

A new enhancement is introduced in Data Quality Studio (DQS) to improve the flexibility of the fuzzy duplicate check functionality during record creation and maintenance. Support is added for configurable outcomes of duplicate validations, such as Error, Warning, or Manual check. This allows you to handle duplicate records based on their business requirements.

You can apply these outcomes:

  • Error: You cannot save the record if a similar record exists. A dialog is opened showing the similar existing records. You can click Cancel, manually modify the new record, and try saving again.

  • Warning: If potential duplicate records exist, a dialog is opened showing the similar existing records. You can:

    • Ignore and Save the record. The record is successfully saved into the database despite the duplicate warning.

    • Cancel the record without saving it. You can manually modify the new record and try saving again.

  • Manual: If potential duplicate records exist, you can save the record without showing any warning or error. You can manually check for duplicates using the Check for Duplicates function. Using the Manual outcome, you can do a duplicate validation on demand without interrupting the save process.

Data Quality Studio forms have a context-sensitive help button.

Example:

At this moment, the connection between the context-sensitive help button and the new documentation portal is not yet fully established.

When clicking the help button, you will be redirected to the main page of Data Quality Studio in the new documentation portal. From there, you can navigate or search to find the information you need.
