Optimize license assignment

The License changes section shows the suggested license changes that result from applying the suggested roles to a selected user.

Security and Compliance Studio does not assign D365 F&SCM licenses to users. Apply the license changes manually in the Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC).

Note

Implement the suggested role changes before you make the license changes. The suggested license changes shown are based on the suggested roles, not on the roles currently allocated to the user. For more information, see Optimize user role assignment.

Steps

1. Click User license optimization.

2. In the User license section, select a user.

3. The License changes section shows the suggested license changes for the selected user.
   Fields in this section:

   Field	Description
   License type (cloud)	The Microsoft cloud license type affected by the change.
   License suggestion	Add: Assign this license type to the user. Remove: Unassign this license type from the user.
   Description	Explains why the change is suggested, based on the access the user needs.

4. In the Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC), manually apply the suggested license changes to the user.
