Import sensitive data setup

You can import sensitive data change tracking setup from an XML file that is exported from another D365 F&SCM environment.

Steps

1. Go to Security and compliance > Setup > Sensitive data setup.

2. Click Import, on the dialog browse for the desired XML file, and click Upload.

3. You can overwrite existing sensitive data change tracking setup. If a setup already exists, it is replaced with the imported setup.

   Select Yes in the Overwrite existing setup field.

   Note

   • Existing sensitive data change tracking setup is overwritten only if it is inactive. So, currently used setup is not disrupted.

   • The import process automatically resolves environment-specific discrepancies. For example, if a user from the imported setup does not exist in the target environment, the import completes successfully while skipping that user. This prevents errors and ensures a smooth transition.

4. Click OK.

5. Close the page.
