# Export Connectivity studio parameters

If you want to copy a database to the current environment and you want to keep the **Connectivity studio parameters**, first export these parameters.

As a result, an XML file with the parameter settings is created and downloaded to your local downloads folder.

### Steps

1. Click **Connectivity studio - Integration Design**.
2. Click **Connectivity studio parameters**.
3. On the **General** tab, click **Export**.
4. In the **Download file** field, you can change the default XML file name as desired.
5. You can run the export of the parameters in the background. While the parameters are exported, you can continue with other activities in the environment.

Select **Yes** in the **Run in background** field.
6. Click **OK**.
7. Close the page.
