# Create file share for version management and history reporting

For the Azure Storage Account, create a file share for the version management files and history reporting files.

Create the file share as desired for your configuration. For more information, refer to [Create file share](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/files/create-classic-file-share?tabs=azure-portal#create-file-share).

For the file share, create folders that relate to the paths in these sections of the **Connectivity studio parameters**:

- **Version management** section: **Shared path**
- **History** section: **History report path**

For the file share setup on the **Connectivity Studio parameters**, you need the information as explained in this table:

| Azure setting | Connectivity Studio parameter |
| --- | --- |
| The file share’s UNC path. | **Windows share** field |
| The name of the applicable Azure Storage Account to be used as the user name | **Operator name** field |
| The Azure Storage Account key to be used as the password or as secret reference | **Password** field or set up as secret reference, depending on the **Display secret** field setting. |
| The name of the version management folder as defined in the file share. | **Shared path** field |
| The name of the history report folder as defined in the file share. | **History report path** field |
