# 3PL - Buyer messages

A 3PL warehouse receives the products that your company, as the buyer of these products, has purchased from your vendors. Buyer 3PL EDI messages are the EDI messages that your company, as a buyer, can send to or receive from a 3PL warehouse.

In EDI Studio, you set up your side (the buyer side) of the EDI message exchange with a 3PL warehouse. So, you do not set up the EDI messages at the 3PL warehouse. Of course, you set up your side of the EDI message exchange in close cooperation with the 3PL warehouse. Because the exchanged data must match.

This flow shows the buyer 3PL EDI messages that are supported by EDI Studio.
