To reduce the risks of unauthorized transactions, you can apply administrator views. Use an administrator view to grant a user or a role system administrator rights, but view only. So, users or roles with administrator view access, do not have editing, creating, nor correcting access.
You can use administrator views, for example, to:
- Reduce the number of users with a system administrator role.
- Give non-system-administrator users view access to information that is related to the system administrator role.
- Give executive level roles the possibility of overview, also of settings that usually are only accessible by the system administrator role.
Examples:
- On the Form information dialog, the Administration settings can be viewed only by users with the system administrator role. Users or roles that are signed up for the administrator view, can view the Form information, Administration settings as well.
- On the Workflow history page, users with the system administrator role can view all workflow history instances. Users without the system administrator role can view only the workflow history instances related to their user account. Users or roles that are signed up for the administrator view can view all workflow history instances. They can also recall pending workflow history instances.
