You can import a security role with all its related security configuration from an XML file that is exported from another environment.
When the securable objects are imported from the XML file, these objects are published automatically.
If dynamic snapshots are enabled, the published objects are automatically updated in the latest snapshot.

Standard procedure

1.	Click Security management.
2.	Click the Roles tab.
3.	Click Import.
4.	You can run the import in the background or directly. You are recommended to import larger XML files in the background. If you run the import in the background, you can continue working during the import.
	Click the desired option.
5.	On the dialog, browse for the security role configuration XML file. Wait till the file content is loaded. If you import directly, you can review the loaded objects.
	Click OK.

Notes

In the XML file, the ‘FormControlOverrides’ from the AOT privileges are not included. When you import the XML file in the current environment, these ‘FormControlOverrides’ privileges are removed.
