Click Design. 6. Close the page. 7. Click OK. 8. Close the page. Notes Scenario: Already one or more flows exist for the selected business process which aren't assigned. If you click Design, the first existing flow is assigned, and the flow designer is opened for this flow. Notes When you assign an existing flow to a business process, these scenarios can occur: It is the first time you assign a flow to the business process: On the dialog, on the Existing tab, all flows are shown that belong to the current solution or its referenced solutions. A flow is already assigned to the business process: Which flows are shown on the dialog, on the Existing tab is defined by the Show all flows toggle button. Yes, all flows are shown that belong to the current solution or its referenced solutions. The currently assigned flow is the flow that is defined on the Business processes form, in the Process section, in the Flow field. Notes If no flow is assigned to the selected node (that is: on the Business processes form, in the Process section, the Flow field is empty), you cannot create a copy. The flow copy that you create is always linked to the same process as the original flow. End End

Assign and design new flow

Solution designer

If no flow at all exists for the selected business process, you can create and assign a flow and start the flow designer in one go.
As a result, both a process and a flow are created and assigned to the selected business process. The type of the created process is defined by the type of the selected business process. The process type defines the flow design options.

Assign new flow

Solution designer

You can create a flow and directly assign it to a business process in the business process hierarchy on the Business processes form.

As a result, both a process and a flow are created and assigned to the selected business process. The type of the created process is defined by the type of the selected business process. The process type defines the flow design options.

You can use this option if you want to assign a new flow while already a flow is assigned or if you want to only assign and not yet design a new flow.

Create flow

Solution designer

You can create a flow centrally and, at another time, assign it to a business process in the business processes hierarchy or use it as sub-flow in another flow.

Copy existing flow

Solution designer

You can create a copy of an existing flow and, at another time, assign it to a business process in the business processes hierarchy or use it as sub-flow in another flow.

Assign existing flow

Solution designer

Assign copy of assigned flow

Solution designer

You can create a copy of the flow that is currently assigned to the selected business process. The currently assigned flow is the flow that is defined on the Business processes form, in the Process section, in the Flow field.
