You can use the task recorder to record a specific scenario or a whole process in one go. This results in a longer task recording than usual. After you finish the recording, you can link steps of this task recording to several relevant existing or new activities.

| 2. | Click the Business processes tab. |
| 3. | Click Edit hierarchy. |
| 4. | In the tree, select 'a node with a procedure activity assigned'. |
| 5. | Click the Procedure tab. |
| 6. | Click Task guide. |
| 7. | Click Record. |
| 8. | On the Task recorder, review the Recording name and Recording description. |
| 9. | Click Start to start the recording of the steps. |
| 10. | Record the steps. |

Note: Consider to use sub-tasks for separate activities in the scenario or process. Sub-tasks enhance the overview and readability of such a long task recording. |
| 11. | If you have recorded all desired steps, on the Task recorder, click Stop. |
| 12. | Click Save to RapidValue. |
From RapidValue you can record and play task guides, either directly within the current environment or in a remote D365 FO environment. Remote task recording can be set up general on solution level or business process-specific using categories.
