You can assign reference numbers to business processes to enhance the traceability of business processes.
| 1. | Click Business process management. |
| 2. | On the Solutions tab, in the list, find and select the desired solution. |
| 3. | Click Edit. |
| 4. | Click the Parameters tab. |
| 5. | Expand the Business process reference numbers section. |
| 6. | Define the format that is used to generate the reference numbers. Besides fixed values, you can use these variables: - %1: Adds the reference number of the parent business process. - %2: Adds the sequence number of the business process beneath its parent. So, a parent business process can have several child business processes. Each child business process gets the number of its position beneath the parent business process. Example: Format %1.%2 results in reference number 1.1 for the first child business process of the first business process in the hierarchy. |

| 7. | You can show assigned reference numbers in the business process hierarchies and in the business process titles on the previews. |
