You can generate a test suite for the flow of a selected business process. You can select for which flow activities you want a test case created and added to the test suite. As a result, a test is created for the selected business process with the generated test suite linked to it.


Standard procedure

1. Click Business process testing.
2. Click Design.
3. In the tree, select 'a node'.
4. Click the Tests tab.
5. Click Add to open the drop dialog.
6. In the Scenario field, type a value.
7. In the Test type field, select an option.
8. Click OK.
9. On the Design test suite dialog, in the Test suite section, you can change the test suite name and type, and enter a description.
On the Flow pane, click activities in the flow diagram to specify what to include in the test suite. You can also click a sub-flow to see the next level diagram and click activities to be added to the test suite.
The list of activities added as test case to the test suite is shown in the Test cases section.
  Click OK.
10. Close the page.

Notes

  • You can only generate a test suite in this way if a flow is defined for the selected business process.
  • On the Flow page, for a selected flow, you can also generate a test suite with activity selection. To do so, on the Action pane, on the Manage tab, click Create test suite. On the dialog, fill in the fields and click OK.
  • If you use milestones in your RapidValue project, the milestone of the test is the milestone as assigned to the related business process during scope definition.
