If you have recorded a procedure activity, the steps of the procedure activity can cover several activities. You can create a new activity and link it to the selected procedure activity steps.
1. | Click Business process modeling. |
2. | Click the Business processes tab. |
3. | Click Edit hierarchy. |
4. | In the tree, select 'a node with a procedure activity assigned, which steps are already recorded'. |
5. | Click the Procedure tab. |
6. | Click Link sub activities. |
7. | On the left pane, in the list, find and select the steps to which you want to link a sub activity. |
8. | Sub-task: Create activity. |
8.1 | Click New activity to open the drop dialog. |
8.2 | In the Activity field, type a value. |
8.3 | In the Solution field, enter or select a value. |
8.4 | In the Role field, enter or select a value. |
8.5 | In the Area field, enter or select a value. |
8.6 | In the Type field, select an option. |
8.7 | In the Application field, enter or select a value. |
8.8 | Click OK. |
9. | Sub-task: Link new activity as sub activity. |
9.1 | On the Activities pane, in the list, make sure the newly created activity is selected. |
9.2 | Click Link sub activity. |
10. | Click Close. |
An activity can be linked as sub activity to steps of a procedure activity. If so, on the Manage sub activities dialog, in the lower part of the preview, the activities and steps are shown to which the activity is linked as sub activity.
