You can add procedure activity steps to another activity. A common scenario is that you add procedure activity steps to the sub activity that is linked to these steps.
1. | Click Business process modeling. |
2. | Click the Business processes tab. |
3. | Click Edit hierarchy. |
4. | In the tree, select 'a node with a procedure activity assigned, which steps are already recorded'. |
5. | Click the Procedure tab. |
6. | Click Link sub activities. |
7. | On the left pane, in the list, find and select the steps that you want to add to the steps of another activity. |

Note: It can be useful if already a sub activity is linked to the selected steps of the procedure activity. |
8. | On the Activities pane, in the list, find and select the activity to which you want to add the selected steps. |

Note: For example, select the activity that is linked as sub activity to the selected steps. |
9. | Click Activity steps. |
10. | Click Add. |

11. | Click Close. |
An activity can be linked as sub activity to steps of a procedure activity. If so, on the Manage sub activities dialog, in the lower part of the preview, the activities and steps are shown to which the activity is linked as sub activity.
