On installation, Master data management studio adds a set of master-data-specific security roles to the set of roles as provided in D365 FO. You can assign the users, who play a role in master data management, to these MDM studio security roles.

You can use these MDM studio security roles in your master data management team:

The master data manager manages the master data in the source company. The master data manager has read, update, create, and delete access to these parts of MDM studio:

  • Setup.
  • Master data in the source company.
  • Change requests in the source company.
Master data receiver BisMdmReciever Manage data in target company The master data receiver manages the master data in the target company. The receiver can manage the master data inbox and can create master record change requests.
