Use a master data entity to define:
This topic explains the basic setup of a master data entity.
| 1. | Click Master data management - Setup. |
| 2. | On the Master data entities tab, click New. |
| 3. | Sub-task: Define general settings. |
| 3.1 | In the Master data type ID field, type a value. |
| 3.2 | Select the table that has the master data. For example, if customer groups are master data, select the CustGroup table. |
|   | In the Record table field, enter or select a value. |
| 3.3 | In the Identification Field name field, enter or select a value. |
| 3.4 | In the Master inbox display Field name field, enter or select a value. |
| 3.5 | In the Display method field, enter or select a value. |
| 4. | Sub-task: Define Handler. |
| 4.1 | In the Custom section, in the Handler field, enter or select a value. |

Note: Currently, one predefined handler is available: BisMdmHandlerStandard |
| 5. | You can run the staging message directly after the data is received in the staging journal. |
|   | Select the Execute staging check box. |
| 6. | Close the page. |
