You can use the EDI message setup wizard to:

  • Set up or update the EDI setup for legal entities.
  • Import an EDI message configuration into a new or existing project.
  • Merge the imported EDI message configuration if the message already exists in the project.
  • Set up or update the required EDI parties.
  • Set up the required document flows for the parties and imported message.

Note:

  • All steps in the EDI message setup wizard are optional.
  • Changes you make on the EDI message setup wizard are saved immediately like in other D365 F&SCM pages. So, when you go back in the wizard or when you cancel the wizard, the made data changes stay.
  • If the message in the selected message file:
    • Does not exist in the project, it is imported after you click Next on the Import message file step.
    • Exists in the project, it is imported after the Merge message step.
