Before you start using the Data quality studio, set the Data quality studio parameters.

3.1 | You can use a dynamic query on: - An action rule of type Data query. - A condition that is applied to a validation rule, duplicate check rule, or action rule. If not, indicate if a warning or an error message must be shown when you select a dynamic query on an action rule or condition. |

4.1 | In D365 F&SCM, each table is classified in a table group. You can, for each table group, indicate if rules can be created for the group. The table group check is done on creation of a rule. You can choose from these options: - Accept: You can create rules for the table group. - Warning: You can create rules for the table group. But, if you do so, a warning message is shown. - Error: You cannot create rules for the table group. If you select a table from the table group, an error message is shown. |

But, if you do so, a warning message is shown. - Error: For an action rule, you cannot select a number sequence that is used on a parameter form. If you do so, an error message is shown. |

But, if you do so, a warning message is shown. - Error: For an action rule, you cannot select a number sequence that is used for a journal. If you do so, an error message is shown. |

5.4 | Indicate if a number sequence that is used on an active data quality policy version can be selected for action rules of type Number sequence. You can choose from these options: - Accept: For an action rule, you can select a number sequence that is used on an active data quality policy version. - Warning: For an action rule, you can select a number sequence that is used on an active data quality policy version. But, if you do so, a warning message is shown. - Error: For an action rule, you cannot select a number sequence that is used on an active data quality policy version. If you do so, an error message is shown. |

6. | Sub-task: Set duplicate check options. |
6.1 | Expand the Duplicate check section. |
6.2 | You can enable merging duplicates for duplicate check rules of type 'Basic matching'. If merging duplicates is enabled for basic matching, and duplicates are found, you can compare the duplicates and merge field values. |

7. | Sub-task: Set dynamic form options. |
7.1 | Click the Dynamic form options tab. |
7.2 | When you create a customer, by default, the financial dimensions are not shown on the Create customer form. You can choose to show the financial dimension fields on the Create customer form. |

8. | Sub-task: Set quality assessment parameters. |

10. | Sub-task: Set execution settings. |
10.1 | For each data quality policy, you can indicate when it is applied. In the Data quality policy parameters, you define the default execution settings that are applied to new data quality policies. |

10.2 | To make sure that all available execution triggers are shown, refresh the execution triggers. |

10.3 | You can apply a data quality policy: - Only on entering or updating a record on a form. To do so, only select the Enable by default check box for the 'Form' execution trigger. - Only on doing a quality assessment. To do so, only select the Enable by default check box for the 'Quality assessment' execution trigger. - In both cases. To do so, select the Enable by default check box for both the 'Form' execution trigger and the 'Quality assessment' execution trigger. |

11. | Sub-task: Enable data enrichment. |
11.1 | You can use enrichment rules to set field values in a target field in D365 F&SCM. You can only use enrichment rules if Data enrichment is turned on. |

Note: If data enrichment is turned on, the action rules are disabled. In this case, the action rules are not considered for execution. |

Note: When data enrichment is turned on, you can turn it off. If you turn off data enrichment, the enrichment rules are no longer considered for execution. Instead, the action rules are considered for execution. |
12. | Sub-task: Enable data quality policy log. |
12.1 | Click the Enable data quality policy log tab. |
12.2 | You can enable logging of data quality policy validation rules execution. Validation rule execution results are logged only when you manually add or change records. Validation rule execution results are not logged if the data quality policy is run by a:
