In an environment, you can restore a different data quality policy change set. This replaces the current change set with the selected one.

You can restore a data quality policy change set for the following reasons:

  • To temporarily use it, for example, for review or testing, or if the latest change set has issues. In this case, do not check out the data quality policy when restoring it.
  • To use it as the basis for further design. In this case, check out the data quality policy when restoring it. When you check in the policy, the restored change set becomes the latest one.

Standard procedure

1. Go to Data quality studio > Inquiries > Version management > Data quality policy version management.
2. In the list, find and select the desired data quality policy.
3. Click Restore change set.
4. On the dialog, in the list, find and select the change set to be restored.
5. Click OK.
6.

If you restore the data quality policy change set:

  • Do not check out the data quality policy if you want to use it temporarily.
  • Check out the data quality policy if you want to use it as the basis for further design.

In this procedure, the data quality policy is checked out.

  Click Yes.

Note: If you accidentally checked out the data quality policy or you do not want to use it as the latest change set, do 'Get latest' to undo the check-out and turn back to the latest data quality policy change set.

7.

You can either continue restoring the selected data quality policy change set or stop the action.

If you select No:

  • The current data quality policy change set remains unchanged.
  • If you checked out the project earlier, the check-out is undone.
  Click Yes.
8. Close the page.
