Before you can use the Connectivity monitor app, some Power BI setup is required:

  • To use Power BI reports, a licensed user is required for the Dataverse environment.
  • Install the Power BI reports for the Connectivity monitor app.
  • Configure the Connectivity monitor app.

Install Connectivity monitor Power BI reports Install Connectivity monitor Power BI reports Install the Power BI reports for the Connectivity monitor app. To install the Power BI reports, click this link: Connectivity monitor Power BI reports. Click Install when asked. Configure Connectivity monitor Power BI app Configure Connectivity monitor Power BI app Configure the Connectivity monitor app. To configure the app: Connect to the database. Sign in to the Connectivity monitor app. Share with users.   Procedure 1. On the Power BI Apps page, click the link of the installed app: UIPM. 2. This message is shown: "The app isn't connected to data." In the message click 'Connect your data'. 3. Fill in your environment and database. Note: If your environment URL is, for example, 'ConnectivityMonitor1.crm4.dynamics.com', your database name is 'ConnectivityMonitor1.crm4'. 4. Click Next. 5. Select the 'OAuth2' authentication method. 6. Click Sign in and connect. 7. Sign in with the created Power BI user in Dataverse. 8. On Power BI, click Workspaces, Connectivity monitor (UIPM). 9. On the Connectivity monitor (UIPM) page, click Performance detail cockpit. 10. Click Share, enter the desired Connectivity monitor app users, and send them the invitation. End End
