As a data owner, you can review and process data quality assessment results.
For each record with errors or warnings, you can open the source record to review the error or warning and, if desired, make changes.
Usually, you review and change the source record in case of a validation rule error or warning.
Steps
Go to Data quality studio > Inquiries > Quality assessment exceptions log.
In the list, find and select the desired record with review status 'In progress'.
Click Open source record.
If desired, click Edit, and make changes to solve the errors or warnings.
Close the page.
Close the page.
Start a data entry workflow for the record
Instead of reviewing and editing the source record yourself, you can use a data entry workflow to make the changes. A data entry workflow can be started manually or automatically:
Manually: On the Quality assessment exceptions log (after step 1 above), select an entry, and click Run workflow. You can then skip the remaining steps. To set this up, define the workflow template and related settings on the data quality assessment project.
Automatically: A data entry workflow can also be started automatically, right after the data quality assessment run finishes. To set this up, select Yes in the Auto-initiate workflow field, and define the trigger criteria, on the data quality assessment project.
For details on the Data Entry Workflow integration setup, see Set up data quality assessment project.
Notes
A record can fail several validations or duplicate checks. For each failed validation rule or duplicate check rule, a separate entry is created in the Quality assessment exceptions log. Only one data entry workflow is started per record, whether you start it manually or it is started automatically.
If an active data entry workflow instance already exists for a record, no new instance is started for that record. This also applies if the existing instance was created by a different quality assessment project.
