For Data Quality Studio, an integration is available to Data Entry Workflow. With this integration, a data entry workflow can be started for a record that fails a data quality assessment, either manually or automatically.
Note
You can only use the Data entry workflow integration Data Entry Workflow is installed on the D365 F&SCM the environment.
Set up the integration
You set up the Data Entry Workflow integration on a data quality assessment project. This includes the data entry workflow template, document record, and query, and, if desired, the criteria for automatically starting a data entry workflow after an assessment run.
For details, see Set up data quality assessment project.
Prerequisites in Data Entry Workflow
The data entry workflow template to be applied. Make sure, the template contains the fields that are checked in the data quality assessment.
The applicable document record must be defined.
Note
Based on the selected workflow document record, the related parent data source is filled in automatically.
The applicable dynamic query must be defined. The query must contain the fields that are assessed by the data quality assessment project. Make sure, the query contains the assessed fields that are part of and that are not part of the parent data source.
Note
Set up the dynamic query to return unique records. To do so, in the dynamic query, the first defined table must be the main table. Use data entities for the next table records. For each of the data entity table records, define the applicable parent.
Start a workflow
As a data quality officer, you review records with an error or warning in the Quality assessment exceptions log. From there, a data entry workflow can be started for a record, either manually, or automatically right after the data quality assessment run finishes.
For details, and for an explanation of the related fields in the Quality assessment exceptions log, see Review and edit source record.
