# View the validation history

Review the validation history to see every assessment that has run, monitor data quality trends over time, and open the detailed results of any run.

## Prerequisites

At least one **Data Quality Assessment** has been run.

## Steps

1. Press **Alt+Q** to open the **Tell Me** search.
2. Enter **Validation History** and select the page from the results.
3. Use the toggles at the top of the page to filter the runs by result type:
  - **Validation rule** – selected by default.
  - **Duplicate check rule**.
4. Review the details shown for each run.

| Column | Description |
| --- | --- |
| Assessment Run ID | Unique identifier of the run. |
| Policy ID | The policy that was assessed. |
| Table | The entity that was checked. |
| Type | The check type of the run. |
| Started Date/Time | When the run began. |
| Completed Date/Time | When the run finished. |
| Records Processed | The number of records checked. |
| Failed Validations Count | The number of failures found. |
| Status | The current status of the run. |

1. Select the run you want to inspect.
2. Select **Show Log** to open its detailed results.

### Results

Business Central displays the execution summary for every assessment and lets you open the exception log for any run.
