# XML Schema Validator activity

In Business Integration Solutions, use the **XML Schema Validator** activity to validate an incoming message against a document structure.

## Set up the XMLSchemaValidator

| Field | Description |
| --- | --- |
| Document Type | Specifies whether the linked document is **External** or **Internal**. |
| Document No. | Specifies the linked document. |

## Example

If the incoming message does not match the expected document schema structure, the validator fails the message with a description of the issue.
