Use the Quick Planner worksheet

Prev Next

The Quick Planner Worksheet displays supply and demand information for manufactured items. Use this information to determine what additional production activities need to be planned to ensure that demand does not outweigh supply. You can create these production orders directly from the Quick Planner Worksheet.

Note

Generate the Quick Planner before using it. Every time you open the Quick Planner, a new worksheet is generated.

Steps

  1. In the search box, enter Quick Planner, and then choose the related link.

  2. On the Create Quick Planner Worksheet page, specify Anywhere Mobility Solutions desired filters.

  3. Choose OK. The Quick Planner Worksheet page appears.

The lines display items based on the filters specified in the Create Quick Planner Worksheet page.

  4. Enter a value in the Days View field.

The program displays supply and demand information for the items in the Quick Planner based on the days view. For example, entering a days view of 14 causes the Quick Planner to display supply and demand information for the next two weeks.

  5. If you want to use a predefined production forecast, enter it in the Forecast Name field if it is present.

The Forecast Name field is displayed only if your D365 BC licence contains permission to use the standard D365 BC forecasting functionality. Use standard D365 BC forecasting if it is available. If you do not have access to the necessary granules, the forecast data on the Quick Planner is copied from Food Manufacturing & Distribution's production forecast tool.

If the program identifies an impending shortage for an item, the quantity needed to meet this demand is displayed in the Suggested Quantity field. The actual quantity you produce can differ from the suggested quantity.

  6. Enter the quantity of the item you want to plan for production in the Actual Quantity field.

  7. Fill in the Due Date field for each item you want to produce.

  8. On the Actions tab, in the General group, choose Create Orders. The Create Production Orders page appears.

  9. Fill in the fields to assign additional settings to the new production orders if desired.

  10. Choose Yes.

The appropriate supply fields on the Quick Planner Worksheet page immediately update to display the impact of the newly created production orders.
