Use this task when you want to process your D365 BC Business Integration Solutions connections automatically using the job queue functionality. This task describes how to use the job queue feature of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with Business Integration Solutions.

Steps

  1. On the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central client:

    1. Go to the Users List and add a new user. On the Windows Authentication FastTab, select the Windows Network Service account in the Windows User Name field.

    2. Provide SUPER user permission.

  2. On the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Administration Tool:

    1. Select the D365 BC server instance used for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central from the list and select Edit.

    2. Provide the necessary general settings, especially Database Name and Services Default Company.

    3. For the NAS settings, set the Startup Codeunit to 450, which is the default for the job queue in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

  3. On the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central client:

    1. Go to one of the Business Integration Solutions connections and enable the Job Queue field in the relevant element, for example, the Record Change event.

    2. Select Job Queue Setup.

    3. On the Job Queue Entry card, define the settings for the job queue, such as Earliest Start Date, recurrence settings, and a Description.

    4. Select Set Status to Ready.

In the Job Queue Entries list, a new job queue entry is created for this Record Change event. From the Job Queue Entries list, you can see whether the job queue entry is still running and what the earliest start date is.
