In this way, the production department is fully integrated in the project organization. If WIP is not transferred, the production department is considered an "internal supplier," responsible for its own results. ![Transfer WIP](https://cdn.document360.io/da662430-6a41-47b1-8c7e-7e4ac37a9756/Images/Documentation/TransferWIP.png) Switch this function on in **Manufacturing Setup**: **Transfer WIP from Production to Project**. All consumption and output entries from the production order are copied to project ledger entries. For this purpose, additional project ledger entry types have been created: **Machine Center** and **Work Center**. The transfer takes place when the status of the production order is set to **Finished**. > [!NOTE] > Note > > - There is no project ledger entry for the finished product because all detail entries are already in the project. When the project planning line for the finished product is posted, only an item ledger entry of the type **Negative Adjustment** is created. > - When **Transfer WIP from Production to Project** is **off**, posting the project planning line for the finished product creates both a project ledger entry and an item ledger entry. ## Related - [Manufacturing integration](/bc-manufacturing-integration-iem.md) - [Transfer WIP from production to project](/bc-transfer-wip-from-production-to-project.md)
