The Lifecycle Filter Line table stores information about filters set for the Lifecycle. A filter creates a subset of the table defined in the Lifecycle Type.

A specific set of rules applies to the filter. When you create a new Lifecycle instance for a record, the system checks whether a filter exists. If the filter is on a field that is part of the primary key, the first state of that Lifecycle is selected. If the filter is on a field that is not part of the primary key, no Lifecycle is selected. The record is editable for all items at first, and the status settings return FALSE. When you use the Change Status action, the filter applies and the matching Lifecycle is selected.
To set up Lifecycle filters
From the Lifecycle Card page, select Filters.
On the Filter Line page, select New and fill in the fields:
