To use Transport and Deliveries, provide some basic settings.

Choose the
icon (Alt+Q), enter Transport & Deliveries, and click the relevant link.Provide values for the following fields:
General tab:

Default Package Type
Specify the default container or package type. When adding a new container, the default type is filled automatically.
Use Container Status Loaded
When selected, a transport order or delivery trip can only be posted when all containers have the status Loaded.
Container Inventory Check
When selected, the inventory of the selected container is checked. A warning appears when inventory goes negative. Options: Blank: no warning. Warning: the user gets a warning that no inventory is available; accepting the message releases the transport order or delivery trip. Error: an error appears and the activity stops.
Container Location
Select the warehouse location where containers are stored. Usually a basic location without Anywhere Mobility Solutions warehouse settings.
Load Length Factor
Used to calculate the load length for a container: usually the average width of a truck.

Inbound Transport Order Nos
Specify the number series for inbound transport orders.
Outbound Transport Order Nos
Specify the number series for outbound transport orders.
Inbound Posted Transport Order Nos
Specify the number series for inbound posted transport orders.
Outbound Posted Transport Order Nos
Specify the number series for outbound posted transport orders.
Delivery Trip Nos
Specify a number series for delivery trips.
Container ID Nos
Specify the number series for container IDs. Using IDs ensures each package is uniquely identified. This feature is useful for RFID as well.
Set up per location
After setting up Transport and Deliveries, provide specific settings per location:
Field | Description |

Transport Order Type | Mandatory. Specify the direction of the order: Inbound or Outbound. |
Location Code | Mandatory. Specify the location for the inbound or outbound transport order. |
Description | Enter a generic description to use as default in all transport orders for the specified location and type. Use this text as standard text on freight bills. |
Cost Warning | Checks if cost lines exist when a transport order is released. Options: Blank: no warning. Warning: the user gets a warning that no cost lines exist; accepting the message releases the transport order or delivery trip without cost lines. Error: an error appears and the activity stops. The error only appears when no cost lines are found. |
Warehousing must be completed | When set, warehouse and inventory activities must be completed before the transport order for this location is released: inventory pick posted, warehouse pick registered, project planning line posted. |
Link Container | When selected, a transport order is automatically created or updated when the container is closed. |
