You can create a commodity class and then assign a series of commodity cost components to that class. These cost components are used to calculate the cost of items to which the commodity class is assigned. Set up the relevant commodity cost components before performing this activity.
Steps
In the search box, enter Commodity Classes, and then choose the related link.
On the Home tab, in the New group, choose New.
Fill in a line with a code and a description for the commodity class.
On the Navigate tab, in the General group, choose Components.
On the Commodity Class Cost Components page, assign cost components to the commodity class.
