When you open the **Commodity Manifest** page to record the receipt of a commodity item, you must enter a location filter. The program uses the location's commodity setup to determine some of the values on the commodity manifest. > [!NOTE] > Note > > Commodity transactions must be processed in a single-document, bin-controlled location. This means the location must not be set up to use warehouse receipts, shipments, picks, or put-aways, but it must be set up as Bin Mandatory. ## Steps 1. In the search box, enter **Locations**, and then choose the related link. 2. Select the location where you want to enable commodity receiving. On the **Home** tab, in the **Manage** group, choose **Edit**. 3. On the **Commodities** FastTab, assign the default bin and item you want to use for commodity receiving in that location. ## Related - [Configure commodity processes](/bc-configuring-commodity-processes.md) - [Commodities](/bc-commodities.md)
