If you want to use commodity manifests to receive commodity items into a particular location, you can set up that location with certain defaults.
When you open the Commodity Manifest page to record the receipt of a commodity item, you must enter a location filter. The program uses the location's commodity setup to determine some of the values on the commodity manifest.
Note
Commodity transactions must be processed in a single-document, bin-controlled location. This means the location must not be set up to use warehouse receipts, shipments, picks, or put-aways, but it must be set up as Bin Mandatory.
Steps
In the search box, enter Locations, and then choose the related link.
Select the location where you want to enable commodity receiving. On the Home tab, in the Manage group, choose Edit.
On the Commodities FastTab, assign the default bin and item you want to use for commodity receiving in that location.
