# Set up vendor certification types

You can set up the vendor certification types used with vendors as codes. You can then assign certifications to vendors to review the certifications a particular vendor has obtained.

## Steps

1. In the search box, enter **Vendor Certification Types**, and then choose the related link.
2. On the **Home** tab, in the **New** group, choose **New**.
3. Fill in a line with a code and description for each vendor certification type.
