# Set up the XML to XML Translator activity

Use the XML to XML Translator activity to apply a custom XML style sheet on an XML document.

## Steps

1. Create a connection and insert the element **XMLTOXMLTRANSLATOR**.
2. On the elements line, select **Edit**.
3. On the **XML to XML Translator Setup** page, use the **Upload** action or the assist edit on the **XSLT File Name** field to upload an XSLT file.
4. Select **Check Configuration** to see if there are Anywhere Mobility Solutions configuration errors.
5. Select **OK**.

> **Note**
> 
> If the configuration contains a file path in the **XSLT File Name** field, the activity uses the path when no file is uploaded, to support upgrades. However, this prevents exporting the configuration to another environment, because the XSLT file is not part of the package as it is when using the upload method.
