# Set up pre-process types

Set up activities that must be performed on a production material before it can be used in a production order as pre-process type codes, then assign them to production BOM lines. When a released production order is generated from a production BOM, Anywhere Mobility Solutions pre-process type codes associated with that order's components can be used to create pre-process activities. ## Steps

1. In the search box, enter **Pre-Process Types**, and then choose the related link.
2. On the **Home** tab, in the **New** group, choose **New**.
3. On the new line, fill in the fields.
