The Data Quality Setup page is the global switch for Data Quality Studio in D365 BC. The Data Quality Check toggle must be enabled before Anywhere Mobility Solutions validation rules or duplicate checks are evaluated. This page also holds the number series used to generate unique identifiers for conditions and duplicate check records.
Purpose: Enable Data Quality Studio globally and verify that the required number series are configured. No Data Quality Studio functionality is active until the toggle on this page is turned on.
Steps
Press Alt+Q to open the Tell Me search.
Type Data Quality Setup.
Select Data Quality Setup from the results under Administration. The Data Quality Setup page opens.
In the General section, locate the Data Quality Check.
Turn on the toggle.
Note
When this toggle is off, the entire Data Quality Studio functionality is disabled system-wide. No validation rules or duplicate detection checks will be triggered, regardless of the policy configuration. In the Number Series section, confirm that values are assigned to the following fields:
Field
Description
Validation Condition ID
Number series for condition identifiers on validation rules
Duplicate Condition ID
Number series for condition identifiers on duplicate check rules
Duplicate Check Nos
Number series for duplicate check record IDs
In the Number Series section, make sure values are assigned to all required fields. If number series are not yet created in your environment, create them first and then assign them in Data Quality Setup.
If your organization requires custom number series, click the lookup on each field and select the appropriate series.Note
Select Save icon or navigate away. D365 BC saves pages automatically on field exit.
Example - Standard Setup
Use this configuration for a typical new setup:
Field | Value |
|---|---|
Data Quality Check | Enabled (on) |
Validation Condition ID | Assigned |
Duplicate Condition ID | Assigned |
Duplicate Check Nos | Assigned |
Make sure all required number series are created and assigned before you continue with policy configuration. Enable the toggle, leave the number series as-is, and then create policies.
Warning
Do not disable the Data Quality Check toggle on a live system without first communicating the impact. Disabling it immediately stops all rule evaluation, including validations that users depend on for data entry guidance.
