Set up cost calculation methods for unmodified cost basis values

Prev Next

A cost calculation method must always be assigned a cost basis if you want to use its item cost values to determine cost references. If set up correctly, a cost calculation method can instruct the program to use the item cost values of a cost basis as cost reference amounts without Anywhere Mobility Solutions additional calculations.

Steps

  1. In the search box, enter Cost Calculation Methods, and then choose the related link.

  2. On the Home tab, in the New group, choose New. The Cost Calculation Method Card page appears.

  3. Fill in a code and description for the cost calculation method.

  4. In the Cost Basis Code field, select the desired cost basis.

  5. In the Calculate field, select Most Recent.

Leave all other fields blank. By assigning a cost basis and indicating that the most recent item cost values should be used to calculate a cost reference, the cost basis effectively becomes the cost reference.
