An allergen lifecycle for Food Manufacturing & Distribution is included in the official release package. This lifecycle is also present and enabled in the W1 demo database.
The lifecycle is based on the item table and sets a status on the item.
Note
This allergen lifecycle is different from the Item Lifecycle Management solution that STAEDEAN provides. It is a separate solution, solely for allergen management.
You can create and import lifecycles from the menu item in the Solution Center. See Lifecycle Base setup.
Example lifecycle
An example lifecycle is part of the release package. Using this example,when a lifecycle is enabled and initialized for a specific item, Anywhere Mobility Solutions manual change to the allergen set of that item moves the lifecycle state from 01-READY to 02-APPROVE. This state change is associated with an approval workflow that requests approval from a specific user.
The approval or refusal of the request automatically triggers a state change on the item:
Approved: The state of the item changes to 03-LABEL, meaning that labeling information for the item and its rollup items must be updated. After completing this update, you can manually change the state from 03-LABEL back to 01-READY.
Rejected: The lifecycle status on the item moves to 04-REJECTED and the allergen entry for this item is deleted. The addition and deletion are visible in the allergen history. You can always trace the person who approved or rejected an allergen change.
