Set the **Allergen Consumption Enforcement Level** field to either **Warning** or **Error**. This setting determines the system's behavior in the following situation: - A production order is reported on and you add an item to the consumption that is not part of the standard production order component list. - You perform the addition through the **Batch Reporting** page, **Process Reporting** page, **Consumption Journal**, **Recurring Consumption Journal** page, or **Production Order Components** page. - The item you added has an allergen linked to it that is not present on the output item of the production order. This can introduce a non-declared allergen in the output item. When the enforcement level is set to: - **Warning**, the system shows a warning when you try to add the item to the consumption. You can then choose to ignore the warning and continue, or accept the warning and stop. - **Error**, the system does not let you add this item as a component and shows an error. ## Related - [Perform an allergen rollup](/bc-perform-an-allergen-rollup.md) - [Allergen management overview](/bc-allergen-management.md)
