When an item with a serial or lot no. is in inspection, it must not be available to other parts of the company. For this reason, the serial no. information or lot no. information is blocked when a check sheet is created as part of the measurement.
This means that the check sheet creation setup in the measurement template must be set to either Per Lot No. or Per Serial No. Only with this setting can the Accepted or Rejected result be handled per lot no. or per serial no.
The information records are unblocked when the measurement is registered as Accepted. When Rejected, the lot no. or serial no. information remains blocked.
Note
The standard functionality of Dynamics Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central allows direct access to the lot no. or serial no. information. Through that, the Quality Management settings can be overridden.
When check sheets are serial or lot no. tracked, several check sheets are registered with the registered measurement.
