It contains settings depending on the authentication method and interface. The security profile permissions in Business Integration Solutions let users perform specific tasks in Business Integration Solutions. The following permission sets are available: - **Business Integration Solutions-ESSENTIAL** - **Business Integration Solutions-USER** - **Business Integration Solutions-ADMIN** For more information, refer to [Permission sets for BIS](/business-central/docs/bc-permission-sets-for-bis). The account and authentication method are stored in these profiles: - **Business Integration Solutions Users:** can view and use security profiles, but cannot access their setup. - **Business Integration Solutions Admins:** can view, create, and set up security profiles. ## Manage ### Create a security profile Creating a security profile lets users connect to an external system. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/da662430-6a41-47b1-8c7e-7e4ac37a9756/Images/Documentation/image(535).png) - **Account:** The account name, which is an identifier that Business Integration Solutions users and admins use to identify the correct profile. - **Authentication Method:** Four authentication methods are available: | Method | Description | | --- | --- | | [SAS key](/business-central/docs/bc-sas-key-setup) | Lets users connect to external environments with limited access and permissions. | | [API key](/business-central/docs/bc-api-key-setup) | Lets users connect to external systems that support API key authentication. | | Basic Auth | Basic authentication with a username and password. | | [OAuth 2.0](/business-central/docs/bc-oauth-2-0-setup) | Lets users connect to external systems that support OAuth 2.0 authentication. | ### Default security profiles Default security profiles apply to all supported endpoints.
