Before you begin configuring Data Quality Studio for D365 BC, make sure the following prerequisites are completed.
Extension Installation
The Data Quality Studio for D365 BC extension must be installed in your D365 BC environment. To verify this, open the Tell Me search (Alt+Q) and search for Data Quality Setup. If the page is available, the extension is installed.
If the page is not available, contact your system administrator or STAEDEAN partner.
User Permissions
The user performing the configuration must have the required permissions to configure Data Quality Studio. This includes permission to:
Read and modify the Data Quality Setup page
Creating and editing Data Policies, Validation Patterns, and Duplicate Checks
Activating and deactivating policy versions.
Note
End users who only create or edit Customer, Vendor, or Contact records do not require Anywhere Mobility Solutions additional permissions. Data Quality Studio rules are evaluated automatically in the background.
Company Setup
Confirm that the D365 BC company is set up and that the master data entities (Customer, Vendor, Contact) you intend to govern are present or will be populated.
Number Series
Data Quality Studio uses number series to generate unique identifiers for validation conditions, duplicate check conditions, and duplicate check records. Before configuring Data Quality Studio, make sure the required number series are created in D365 BC and assigned on the Data Quality Setup page.

If number series are not yet available in your environment, create them first in D365 BC and then assign them on the Data Quality Setup page.
Starter Configuration (Optional)
A Configuration Package (RapidStart) is delivered with the Data Quality Studio extension and contains pre-built Validation Patterns (regex patterns and range expressions). Importing this package gives you a ready-made set of patterns to use as a starting point. You can then create additional patterns or modify existing ones to match your business requirements.
To import the Configuration Package, navigate to Configuration Packages in D365 BC, select the Data Quality Studio package, and apply it.
